A rebranded Micromax Company Yu Televentures fails to release the Lollipop update to their first mobile Yureka. Yu has emerged as a new company for its consumers also named as ‘Yu‘ which says You are the master, you create software. As it’s a Cyanogen loaded phone which currently runs CM11 based on android Kitkat 4.4.4.
The smartphone Yureka has a 64-bit chipset which says it’s a future-ready phone, with 2 GB of RAM and also 4G capable phone, Check all its specifications.
Yu promised Lollipop update for Yureka on/after 26th March, 2014. But later changed it to the First week of Lollipop and now when recently called to Yureka support, they say that the update will be received in the month of April with bug fixes.
I personally own the phone. overall it’s an awesome phone but has few bugs which their support says will be sorted out in Their Lollipop Update which can be seen on Yu Forums.
Now how the bugs will be fixed and will users get an update, time will only tell. However, the customers of Yureka are very much disappointed for the delayed promise of Lollipop.
Yu Televentures is to release a new phone which is currently named as Project Caesar. They are currently in the phase of using the name from the consumers. Update: Project Caesar is now named as Yuphoria where YU claims there were about 1.00,000 Entries. But the question still remains for Lollipop Update for Yureka.
