CIRCUITRIX
CONCEPT
Engineering does not end with simple
and creative designing, but it always extents to the phase of debugging
the errors. Circuit Debugging is a methodical process of finding and
reducing the number of bugs, or defects, in a piece of electronic hardware
thus making it behave as expected. Debugging tends to be harder when
various subsystems are tightly coupled, as changes in one may cause
bugs to emerge in another. This event is another step to enhance you
debugging capability.
RULES AND REGULATION:
This is a team event. A team can consist
of maximum two members. The members needn't be from the same college.
The event will be conducting in two stages.
- Preliminary Round
- Final Round
PRELIMINARY ROUND
A team will be provided with set of 30 questions of 30 minutes duration. The questions will be based on basics of electronic circuit and digital circuits. This is to ensure the participants is having ground knowledge on the subjects. The team will be qualified to the Final round which is based on their prelims merit.
Note: Negative marking is there for wrong answers
.
FINAL ROUND
The team qualified to the Final round
will be provided with a circuit to debug. The duration of Final round
is 1 hour. Team will be provided with all components and data sheets
necessary. They are only allowed to rectify the errors in the circuit.
No team is allowed to redesign the circuit given. Any violation in the
rules of the event will leads to disqualification.
JUDGING CRITERIA:

THE ONE
A successful entrepreneur is not just
smart but also a brilliant negotiator who understands people - people
who work for his vision, people who buy his products, and people who
regulate the market as well as people who deliver and stock his products.
He has learnt how to deal effectively with everybody and this is a major
contributor to his success. He may have to deal with adversaries and
benefactors in the same tone. The One teaches you these very skills
in the only way they can be learnt - by actually playing the role of
an entrepreneur.
Along with being a shrewd negotiator,
a successful entrepreneur needs in-depth understanding of the fundamentals
of business; and not just in theory! The One consists of rounds that
test your skills of survival and strategic planning in the competitive
market - where advertising is often more important than quality improvement,
where you need a new survival strategy everyday for the dynamically
changing market.
An entrepreneur will have to face many challenging situations where tough decisions based on clarity of thought may be his last lifeline. Finally, an entrepreneur should not lose his moral ground when faced with thunders and typhoons. A skilled entrepreneur needs to be a cunning strategist and a thorough planner. The One gives you the opportunity to test your mental mettle to plan accordingly and to execute those cunning strategies.
Event Format
The event will have a preliminary round which includes written test on aptitude as well as subjective questions based on GK.
The final round will comprise of around 5 stages, the details of which will be disclosed only on the day of the event.
Based on the test score 9 participants will be selected for the final round.

PAINTBALL
The energetic sport of paintball is one which involves both physical and mental coordination. Widely popularized within a mere time span of 15 years, it has been recognized as the world’s fastest growing adventure and extreme sports.
Today, paintball is played in many countries by millions of people of all ages and lifestyles. These include an array of Professional Paintball teams playing in over hundreds of leagues across the globe. The number of paintball enthusiasts too, as one may have speculated, go way ahead in number.
Power packed with action and a rush of adrenalin, this game is one that simulates combat, one that is used in the training sessions of NYPD itself. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that it is rare to find a game that matches up to the hype of today’s youth like Paintball fighting.
The beauty of this simple adventure sport lies in the fact that the rules are simple but the strategies used to improvise on the game may be complex. It involves the physicality of overcoming obstacles while moving over complex terrains complemented with the mental task of scheming and strategizing your moves.
All the players are provided with guns so as to shoot those from the opposing team, preventing them from accessing one’s team flag, while trying to obtain their opposition’s; the main motive of the game. There are two teams with around 5 members each. A player once shot will be eliminated.
This game thus helps to judge
and improve on one’s alertness, agility and innate reflex.
The enthusiasm while playing
this sport is fueled by the usage of paintball gear, mainly used for
protection against stones, sticks and paint itself. Such gear include
a chest guard, a paintball suit and a face mask, which is of prime importance.
Rajagiri School of Engineering and technology has at long last brought to this state an adventure sport guaranteed to tickle your impulses while testing your endurance. Word goes out to be a part of the thronging crowd without dismissing it as a façade, not only to welcome the novelty of Paintball, but also to possibly have the best one day of your life!
